Welcomes to Our EcoChurch Mission Community

We are now an EcoChurch Mission Community, with all three churches holding EcoChurch awards. This reflects our shared commitment to caring for God’s creation through worship, community events, and practical action.

Recent highlights include carbon free infrared heating funded by Give to Go Green grants and ongoing work in our Living Churchyard at Littleham. We share practical ways to respond to the climate and nature crisis through EcoChurch coffee mornings, worship, and community events. As we look ahead, we aim to involve more people, strengthen partnerships, and deepen our biblical understanding of Creation Care.

EcoChurch is an award scheme for Churches to demonstrate their care for creation and the environment. It is run by A Rocha, a Christian environmental charity

EcoChurch requires completion of an online questionnaire on the actions the church has taken to reduce its impact on the environment. The survey covers five key areas of church life:

At St Margaret and St Andrews Church in Littleham, we offer a range of services to help people of all ages and backgrounds connect with God.

Services

Sunday Morning Service - 10am

We alternate Holy Communion and Awake services each week, creating a varied pattern of worship that reflects the life of our church.

Holy Communion services are traditional, rooted and prayerful, centred on word and sacrament. Music is led by our organist, supporting traditional hymns that give space for reflection, reverence and a sense of continuity with generations of worshippers who have gone before. Holy Communion services are centred on sharing bread and wine together and drawing close to God through worship, Scripture and stillness.

Awake services are family-friendly, contemporary and engaging with modern worship songs. The atmosphere is relaxed and expectant, with accessible teaching and music that helps people connect faith with everyday life

Sunday Evening Service - 6pm

Open to God is a weekly Sunday evening service where people gather at 5:30pm to share some food with the service starting at 6pm.

Open To God services are contemplative gatherings that create intentional space to slow down, listen, pray, and be open to the Holy Spirit. The service starts with modern worship songs, often accompanied by a worship band. There are different themes running throughout the year; currently we are working through the Ten Commandments.

Brief Church History

Littleham Church has been at the heart of the community for centuries. Dedicated to St Margaret and St Andrew, the church dates back to medieval times and has long been a place of prayer, worship and gathering.

Through the years, the building has been carefully maintained and adapted, blending historic character with a living, active faith community. Today, the church continues to serve Littleham and the wider Exmouth area - honouring its heritage while looking ahead with hope and faith.
